Regarding Leicester City’s four-way title match, Enzo Maresca has his say

In an effort to catch up to City, Ipswich, Leeds, and Southampton have all scored more points than Maresca’s team in the last ten games.

Although Leicester City is facing intense competition at the top of the Championship table, manager Enzo Maresca believes that more players are better in the race for the championship.

Although Southampton, Leeds, and Ipswich have all surpassed City’s tally of 22 points from their final 30 games to maintain their top ranking, the three teams can still surpass it over the next ten games. Presently, all four teams are expected to earn around 90 points, a tally that, since the league’s rebranding 20 years ago, has ensured promotion each and every season.

Maresca, though, welcomes increased competition, not that it will make things harder for City as they attempt to make a first-time return to the Premier League. He believes that the elite teams will eventually steal points from one another.

Prior to Saturday’s matchup with Plymouth, Maresca stated, “The only thing I can say is that the more teams involved, probably the less points you need at the end.” “We will lose points as soon as we play each other, you or me, if there are four or five teams fighting between us. Therefore, having more teams present is probably preferable.
