Reese’s Senior Bowl All-American Team is made up of an Alabama kicker

One of the most spectacular kickers in Alabama football and SEC history is Will Reichard.

As a kicker, he was named to the SEC first team and was awarded Special Teams Player of the Year. Reichard, a native of Hoover, Alabama, is a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, which honors the best placekicker in the country.

He might become the first player to receive the award in University of Alabama history. At Mercedes-Benz Stadium during the SEC Championship Game versus Georgia, Reichard set a record for the most career points in the NCAA (539). Over his five-year career, he has made 293 extra-point attempts and 82 field goals.

This season, Reichard has made 20 of 23 field goals and 53 PATs for 113 points.

In addition, he had 165 punt returns on four occasions and 47 touchbacks on 82 kickoffs. In the NFL Draft the following year, Reichard has positioned himself to be selected on the second day. On the Reese’s Senior Bowl All-American Team, he is the only senior selected.

The Senior Bowl will be on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at noon CT inside Whitney Hancock Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
