‘Really good’: TalkSPORT pundit exclaims about the £27m player following a showcase

Tony Cascarino of TalkSPORT discussed Arsenal this morning and expressed admiration for Leandro Trossard.

With the Gunners struggling with injuries, Trossard was given another opportunity to establish his claim in attack, and he proved he could deliver.

With a gallant steal of the ball, the Belgian gave Arsenal the lead and put them well on their way to a crucial three points against the Clarets.

Even though recent arrival Kai Havertz has had difficulties, former striker and current analyst Cascarino thinks Trossard has proven to be a very valuable addition.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Cascarino praised Trossard while also making a slight jab at Havertz.

“After an amazing season in which you finished second in the championship race last year, you’ve had a strong start to this season. Okay, so I don’t include Havertz in that one, but I do include a few others, but you had an incredible summer with the transfer that you made,” Cascarino remarked.

However, considering your transfer policy, Trossard has proven to be a reliable squad member for you. He’s been skilled at it; his objective from yesterday required bravery as he put himself in risk and braced himself for harm. He opens the score with a goal, so you have to have hope, in my opinion.

When given the chance by Mikel Arteta, Trossard has excelled, and the £27 million they paid to get him from Brighton still seems like a wise investment.

Trossard will play a major part this season once more because Eddie Nketiah is still erratic and Gabriel Jesus is still experiencing injury issues.

When it comes to winning the title, it truly comes down to the squad game, and if Arsenal manage to steal it, Trossard will undoubtedly have had a significant impact.
