RB Jerome Ford of the Browns is “optimistic” that he could play against the Seahawks despite having a severe ankle sprain

Despite suffering a right high ankle sprain, Browns running back Jerome Ford surprised everyone by showing up for practice on Friday afternoon. He is “optimistic” that he will be ready to play against the Seahawks in Seattle on Sunday.

Ford ran through individual running back exercises with Browns general manager Andrew Berry watching like a player who had not suffered a painful injury to his ankle late in Sunday’s 39-38 victory over the Colts.
