Raptors receive a boost as Atlanta Hawks release…

The Hawks return to action tomorrow night for the first time in over a week. The All-Star break has ended, and the last push for the playoffs will take place over the next month and a half.

The Hawks have a three-game homestand following the break, which begins tomorrow against the Toronto Raptors.

The Hawks have now revealed their injury report ahead of their game against the Raptors tomorrow night.

The only Hawks on the injury report are Onyeka Okongwu (left big toe sprain) and Mouhamed Gueye (right low back stress fracture), who are both listed as out.

Okongwu injured his big left toe in a game against the Chicago Bulls before the All-Star Break, forcing him to miss the following game against the Charlotte Hornets. The Hawks released this information following his initial injury:

That’s certainly huge news for the Hawks. Okongwu has played quite well since taking over as starting center with Clint Capela out due to an injury, and one could argue that he may be the starting center for the remainder of the season prior to today’s announcement.

Bruno Fernando started for the Hawks against Charlotte, while Okongwu and Capela were both out. Fernando could start tomorrow’s game, while Capela could come off the bench, although this is only speculation. This year, the Hawks have struggled to get healthy.

There haven’t been many games in which Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Saddiq Bey, Jalen Johnson, Okongwu, Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and De’Andre Hunter were all healthy. Atlantahas a lot of flaws, but not having these men together for longer games has hurt this team this year.
