Rangers to reject offer for player

Despite Birmingham City’s interest in goalkeeper Jack Butland, from sources that Rangers will not consider any January offers for the player.

As part of the exciting project at St Andrews, the Blues, who recently named Wayne Rooney their new manager, have set their eyes on bringing Butland, 30, back to the team.

Source has been informed by a reliable source that there is “no chance” the former England international will make that transfer during the January transfer window.

In addition, Butland is rumored to be content at Ibrox and to be loving life in Glasgow after arriving there on a free transfer this summer.

The athlete, according to sources, is “happy to stay” at Rangers and is fast winning over supporters.

Despite Birmingham’s interest in the shot-stopper, Rangers will not consider any January bids for the player.

Since joining the team, Butland has made 16 appearances for the Gers and has already recorded seven clean sheets.

He has participated in every minute of every game for the Ibrox team, including group stage matches in the Europa League.

The summer arrival of the former Crystal Palace and Stoke player signed a four-year contract with the team.

Rangers had been behind Butland for more than a year and had contemplated making a move for him in the summer of 2022, but Allan McGregor decided to continue playing.

With nine caps for England under his belt, the 30-year-old last played for the Three Lions in 2018.

Despite being seven points behind Celtic, Philippe Clement’s team is now in second place in the Scottish Premiership.

The Ibrox team travels to Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday, October 26, after playing Hibernian on Saturday, October 21.
