Prior to Swansea, Leicester City has a list of injuries and comeback dates

When Leicester City returns to Championship play this weekend, they will be on the right side of the international break.

On Saturday afternoon, City will go to South Wales to play Swansea City, and Enzo Maresca is getting his team ready. The match against Swansea marks the beginning of a busy stretch of games for the team, which also includes games against Sunderland at home in the middle of the week, Queens Park Rangers on the road, and Swansea.

After the current stretch of games, City will be looking to remain at the top of the standings. They are now 10 points ahead of third-placed Preston North End and two points ahead of Ipswich in second place.

Maresca, who is accustomed to altering his starting lineup in the event of a fixture conflict, will attempt to have as many players available as he can. He will be crossing his fingers that players return from international service in good shape.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s early departure from the Nigerian camp for personal reasons has been confirmed. He ought to be available for Swansea’s match.

The Seagrave injury list is shown below:

Kasey McAteer

One of the best players so far this season has been the academy graduate. The 21-year-old has five goals in all competitions as he makes his way into City’s starting lineup.

McAteer replaced another player in the 4-1 victory over Blackburn, but he only played for 18 minutes before suffering a hamstring injury. The previous two Championship games he was absent from.

What Maresca said: “It will be between four and six weeks,” was his exact statement. He was doing so well, so we are disappointed. He’s a fantastic guy who is both joyful and hungry. It’s unfortunate for him.

It’s just for six weeks, but probably it’s a good time for him to have some rest after a good start. He will be back soon with us.”

Possible return date: vs QPR (28 October)

Callum Doyle

During the break in the match against Bristol City, Doyle was removed. After the game, he was seen leaving the King Power Stadium on crutches and with a brace on his injured knee. Since then, the defender has had surgery.

What Maresca stated on Doyle: “It will be between 12 and 16 weeks,” Maresca remarked. He is the only player, I mentioned in the news conference before Liverpool, who is left-footed. We’ve had bad luck.

We had several wingers, including Wilfred, Cesare, Kiernan, Yunus, Jamie, Kele, Abdul, Macca, Stephy, and Marc, but he was the only one in that position, therefore we were unfortunate. We’ll work to come up with a solution. JJ performed admirably against Liverpool and Bristol City. He might provide a solution.

Possible return date: vs Huddersfield (1 January)

Dennis Praet

Due to a back ailment, the midfielder has been sidelined for the past seven games across all competitions. Prior to the Championship match against Huddersfield last month, he discovered the issue.

What Maresca said: “It’s an important injury,” he said at the beginning of the month. “It will likely take 10 to 12 weeks. He has a back issue.

Possible return date: vs Watford (H) November 25.

Tom Cannon

Due to injury, the striker has yet to make his club debut. A stress fracture in the forward’s back was diagnosed by City before they signed him on deadline day.

What Maresca said before the match against Stoke City: “It’s still the same process,” he added. He’s not likely to return with us. He will go on.

Possible return date: Unknown
