Player rejected by Kieran McKenna has signed a contract

Coleraine has signed former Northern Ireland junior international Cameron Stewart.

The 21-year-old defender was released by Ipswich Town last month, shortly after finishing a loan spell with Scottish League One club Cove Rangers. Stewart spent a brief loan period with Crusaders during the 2022/23 season.

Cameron, a boyhood Coleraine supporter, said: “My dad’s side of the family are all huge fans, so growing up we went to all the games, so it means a little more to me now that I’m a player.”

Head coach Dean Shiels stated, “Cameron ticks all the boxes; we have a profile of player we want to try and recruit, and he’s got really good potential after playing a lot of minutes at a high level in Scotland last year.” We want him to come in and really flourish under the full-time paradigm, and we have high expectations for him.

Kofi Balmer, a former Larne defender, is expected to join Motherwell. The Steelmen have agreed on a fee with Crystal Palace to sign the defender.

The Well are expected to turn down interest from AFC Wimbledon, where the 23-year-old spent last season on loan. The player is expected to go to Fir Park on Thursday for his physical and to finalize his transfer.

Sligo Rovers have signed former Cliftonville winger Stephen Mallon on an 18-month contract. The Belfast native has signed a pre-contract to join Rovers on July 1, subject to international transfer clearance.

Dundela has informed that William Faulkner has opted to leave the club.

Niall McGinley, a midfielder, has joined Institute from Dergview.
