In 2024, only five teams blitzed more than the Kansas City Chiefs defense on first downs in the NFL.

The Chiefs’ defensive coordinator could pump up the heat next season, focusing on more blitzes. One thing is certain: Mahomes is relieved that he does not have to face defensive linemen like Chris Jones in a blitz.

The Chiefs have two additional OTA sessions slated for the end of May and the beginning of June, before their obligatory minicamp.
