Packers’ TE played despite the pain with lacerated kidney

Luke Musgrave, a rookie tight end for the Green Bay Packers, is on his road back from a lacerated kidney.

He miraculously played through his injury.

It’s been a month since Musgrave took a 10-yard pass and landed awkwardly on the ball itself in a Week 11 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, but he still managed to finish the game.

“Not horrible,” Musgrave replied, according to Packers.com.”I suspected something was wrong, but it’s football.” You play through pain, and it usually hurts worse afterward.

It didn’t take long for the 23-year-old to figure out it had a renal problem.

“When I got home,” he said. “Just blood in the urine.”

He was then advised by the Packers medical staff to go to the emergency room immediately.

“Yeah, it wasn’t awesome,” he said.

Fortunately, he did not require emergency surgery.

For the time being, he’ll continue to listen to the physicians in the hopes of returning this season. His goal is to get on the field as quickly as possible.

“Internal organs are definitely different than your typical football injury.” But the training room has nice individuals, a solid staff, and a lot of wonderful things to say about it. It went well, and I believe we’re on the right route.”
