Packers Officially Show Interest in Mammoth Weapon For…

The Green Bay Packers appear to have nearly every element of their offense in place for the foreseeable future. By the end of the 2023 season, the NFL world had seen what that offensive was capable of, even against some of the NFC’s finest defenses.

While there may not be many changes to make, one could be big for the offense.

Green Bay Packers Show Interest In Massive Running Back For 2024

According to Packers Insider Easton Butler:

The Packers met with Notre Dame running back Audric Estime at the Combine.
Despite his enormous stature, Audric Estimé has exceptional footwork and home run speed.

Estimé’s game is built around his size and strength. The 227-pounder is an excellent runner between the tackles. At the line of scrimmage, they can sprint through defensive linemen and bounce off second-level defenders. Furthermore, he excels at pushing the pile for short yardage and diving forward for extra yards when tackled.

Estime’s draft profile on Bleacher Report is impressive:

Estimé is also a smart runner. He plays with smooth, controlled feet, which is especially impressive given his larger back. Estimé also demonstrates excellent vision.

He is not just a decisive runner, but he is also an expert at reading block leverage and making quick, informed judgments based on it. Estimé rarely gets himself into difficulty or misses an open gap.

The deadliest aspect of Estimé’s game is his incredible speed. Estimé possesses tremendous home run speed, even if he needs a few steps to get going.

If he gets the angle on someone at the second or third level, he can easily take them all the way. That’s unusual for a player his size.

Estimé has some pass-down value. He’s a good underneath receiver with delicate hands. Even more, Estimé is a high-energy pass protector with excellent awareness and quick trigger.

Estimé’s sole weaknesses are his rapidity and stop/start ability. Estimé can sometimes get stuck in traffic behind the line of scrimmage because he lacks the quick burst to go around it. Estimé also takes a few steps to reach his maximum speed, as opposed to being able to do it instantly.

If the Packers sign Estime, it will most likely be a cheaper and younger version of AJ Dillon. While Dillon is a fan favorite in Green Bay, his tenure with the team could be coming to an end.
