OU Softball: Former Oklahoma Pitcher Names New Destination

SJ Geurin stated on Saturday via social media that she will continue her college career elsewhere in the SEC.

An Oklahoma backup has found a new home, but she will still compete in the SEC.

SJ Geurin, a left-handed pitcher from Leander, Texas, near Austin, revealed on Saturday that she will play her next game at Auburn. She made the announcement over social media.

Geurin was one of the nation’s top pitching prospects during his two seasons with Patty Gasso’s Sooners. The 5-foot-8 left-hander was regarded as the No. 25 overall recruit in the nation by Softball America, the No. 10 prospect by FloSoftball, and the No. 7 pitcher by Extra Innings Softball.

Geurin redshirted her freshman year in 2023. She appeared in nine games in 2024, going 2-0 with a team-best 0.70 earned run average. She pitched 10 innings, striking out nine, contributing to three shutouts, and limiting opponents to a team-low.118 batting average.

Geurin was one of three Sooners to use the NCAA Transfer Portal on June 10.
