OU Softball: Ex Oklahoma Infielder Revealed Transfer Location

Avery Hodge will be staying inside OU’s new conference as she prepares to face an SEC opponent.

A former Sooner has chosen a new home.

Avery Hodge, who recently entered the transfer portal after two years of playing for Patty Gasso at Oklahoma, is coming to LSU.

On Thursday, the infielder announced her choice via Instagram.

Hodge was 4-for-12 during the 2024 Women’s College World Series after Alynah Torres’ injury forced her into a full-time starting job.

Hodge hit.284 this season, with nine RBIs, five doubles, 11 walks, and nine strikeouts in 74 at-bats.

When Torres was healthy, Hodge’s primary role was to defend second base.

Hodge entered the gateway with Quincee Lilio and SJ Geurin only days after the Sooners won their fourth consecutive national championship.

Oklahoma is primed to reload in 2025, with eight quality freshmen joining OU’s eight returning players.

Gasso and her coaching team will be able to make five additions via the transfer site as well.
