OL Set to Return to Georgia in 2024

According to sources, Georgia right tackle Tate Ratledge will return for the 2024 season.

The 2023 Second Team All-American considered declaring for the 2024 NFL draft before electing to return to Georgia for a fifth collegiate season, using his “Covid year” to do so. Ratledge, who arrived at Georgia as a highly touted 4-star prospect ahead to the 2020 season, earned a starting position at right guard for the 2021 season.

The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder received high praise throughout fall camp leading up to Georgia’s 2021 season opening against Clemson in Charlotte, North Carolina, before suffering a lisfranc injury in Georgia’s win over the Tigers that sidelined him for the rest of the season.

In 2022, the Rome, Georgia native started 14 of Georgia’s 15 games en route to the Bulldogs’ second consecutive national championship. Ratledge then had an even better 2023 season, earning All-SEC First Team and Second Team All-American honors after starting 12 of Georgia’s 13 games at right guard.
