Alec Blair, a 4-star athlete in basketball and baseball in the 2025 recruiting class, committed to the Sooners on Tuesday.

Blair told OU Insider’s Brody Lusk that OU “did the best job recruiting me” for both sports.

“I enjoy being on both coaching staffs and participating in these two sports. Basketball and baseball seasons overlap, which makes them difficult to manage. They devised a plan, and I believe in it.

He chose Oklahoma, Porter Moser, and Skip Johnson over offers from Texas A&M, Cal, Clemson, Oregon, and USC, among others.

Blair averaged 18 points and five rebounds per game on the court in 2023-24, while also hitting.565 on the diamond.

According to the On3 Sports Industry rankings, Blair is the country’s No. 89 overall basketball prospect. On3’s industry rankings are an average of the rankings from On3, Rivals, 247 Sports, and ESPN. ESPN rates him 81st nationwide, while 247 Sports ranks him 94th.
