Ohio State football’s College Transfer Portal haul has supporters buzzing and dreaming of the title

Ohio State football has received many high-profile commits through the NCAA transfer site in recent days.

Ohio State football coach Ryan Day and his staff must be pleased with their team’s success with the NCAA transfer portal this offseason. The Buckeyes have made several high-profile acquisitions from the portal, including safety Caleb Down from the Alabama Crimson Tide. This has increased the likelihood of Day earning a title with the squad in the near future.

Other high-profile transfer portal commitments to Ohio State include Alabama quarterback Julian Sayin, Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins, Alabama center Seth Mclaughlin, Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, and Ohio tight end Will Kacmarek, according to On3 Sports on X, the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter.

Buckeyes fans have taken to X to share their excitement for the program’s recent successes.

Some supporters made grandiose forecasts about the team’s prospects as early as the 2024 season.

Others projected a historic run for Ohio State football under coach Ryan Day.

The Buckeyes have gone close to winning a championship in recent years. In 2022, Ohio State came close to defeating the eventual champion Georgia Bulldogs in the Peach Bowl, but lost after a last-second field goal went wide left. In 2023, the Buckeyes got as close as anyone to defeating the Michigan Wolverines, but were eventually unable to overcome the challenge and missed out on the Playoffs entirely.

However, as the squad continues to strengthen in the future, it appears that championship success may be on the horizon once more for the Buckeyes.
