Ohio State All-American WR is entering the NFL draft

Marvin Harrison Jr., an Ohio State All-American receiver, has declared for the NFL draft.

The Buckeyes’ star junior made his statement on social media Thursday, becoming the first player in team history to have consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.According to ESPN expert Mel Kiper Jr., Harrison, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr., is the draft’s second-best prospect.

“I would like to thank God for blessing me with the abilities and great opportunity to play the game that I love at The Ohio State University,” Harrison said in a statement.

Harrison was named the Biletnikoff Award winner as the greatest receiver in college football. He dropped out of his team’s 14-3 Cotton Bowl loss to Missouri last month.

Harrison concluded the season with 67 catches for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns while frequently being the focal point of the opposition defense. In 2022, he had 77 catches for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns.

“To Buckeye Nation, the love I received from you all in the Shoe and on the road will be moments I cherish forever, and I hope I left lasting memories for you on the field,” Harrison said in a statement.
