Official: Ohio State Buckeyes Add TE Depth With 3-Star…

Damarion Witten could be the next great red-zone target for Columbus quarterbacks.

Another pass-catcher is on his way to Columbus.

Damarion Witten, a three-star tight end, has officially signed his letter of intent to play for Ohio State in 2024. The Cleveland native made certain that he would continue his career close to home.

With Cade Stover’s career coming to an end, Witten, the No. 37 tight end prospect in the class and the 30th ranked recruit from Ohio, should at least compete for reps next season. Witten, listed at 6-4 and 215 pounds, will likely need some time to bulk up physically and grow as a blocker before he’s ready to play a significant role for the offense.

The tight end position has been effective for the Buckeyes in previous seasons. Stover was a nominee for the John Mackey Award after catching 41 passes for 576 yards and five touchdowns.
