ODI World Cup 2023: Ex-Australian superstar warns Team India to avoid being overly excited

Ian Healy, a former cricket player for Australia, feels that the Indian cricket team should hold onto their passion.

In the current ODI World Cup 2023, Team India is having an incredible run. They have already won four of their four matches in the major event thus far, including their seven-wicket triumph over Bangladesh on Thursday in Pune. The Men in Blue have defeated Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan in addition to Bangladesh.

Ian Healy, a former cricket player for Australia, thinks the Indian cricket team should hold onto their passion. In a recent interview, Healy revealed that he has developed a “new fear” for the Indian cricket squad.

Healy expressed his concern that the team might experience an emotional letdown, observing the amount of energy they are putting into their victories.

They are investing a great deal of effort on it. They may simply be going overboard. The intensity, the actions on the field when a bad ball is bowled, the excessive delight for a well-executed fielding move—all that kind of things. He continued, “They have a great team, but I just worry about that.”

“My concern is that in the following six games, they must elevate themselves to a higher level in order to continue where they are headed. Later in the competition, when they won’t be playing Bangladesh, they will need to give it their best. Save it immediately, please,” he continued.
