Nottingham Forest Suffer Blow Amid Interest In Fiorentina Boss

In a setback for the Tricky Trees, Nottingham Forest management target Vincenzo Italiano would like to stay in Italy, where Napoli is keen.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s future at Nottingham Forest is uncertain, despite the club’s survival in the Premier League this season.

A decision on Nuno’s future with the club is expected soon, but the management is already exploring for potential alternatives.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Mariankis is an admirer of Fiorentina coach Italiano and hopes to get him to the City Ground.

Italiano is set to depart Fiorentina this summer, but according to Italian outlet Arenanapoli.it, he will most likely remain in Italy.

It has been suggested that the 46-year-old Italian would want to stay in Serie A rather than move outside of Italy.

Napoli are interested in signing him, and he prefers to play at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona over Nottingham Forest.

It remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest would attempt to persuade Italiano to reconsider his mind if they fire Nuno in the coming days.
