Nick Saban shares an update on Jase McClellan’s injuries ahead of the Rose Bowl

Due to a foot injury, McClellan did not play in the SEC Championship game.

Fortunately for the Crimson Tide, the running back has used his downtime to prepare for his return to the field.

“Jase is doing great,” Saban remarked. “”He practiced yesterday and today and appears to be in good shape. We gave him plenty of time off to rehabilitate his foot, and it appears to have paid off.”

Saban is confident about McClellan’s return to the field.

“Barring some setback, the way he’s practiced,” Saban said in a statement. “I don’t see why he couldn’t play the game.”

This season, McClellan has run for 803 yards and six touchdowns.
