NFL scouts expected to work out two notable prospects from Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs have had a strong presence in the NFL in recent years, consistently sending a swarm of talents to the league in each draft class on both sides of the ball.

They may not have a lot of first-round picks this year, but they do have a couple of talents that might go very high and are still holding workouts to prove they belong in the top half of the first round.

According to ESPN’s Jordan Reid and Rich Cimini on Twitter, tight end prospect Brock Bowers and offensive tackle Amarius Mims will each have their own Pro Day today.

Bowers missed the NFL Combine and Georgia Pro Day due to a hamstring injury, but ESPN’s Rich Cimini said in a tweet that he is still a candidate for the New York Jets’ No. 10 overall pick.

Bowers is by far the best tight end prospect in this class, and it would be surprising if he isn’t the first at his position off the board, but Mims could benefit a lot more from this performance.

This is a stacked offensive tackle class, with Notre Dame’s Joe Alt, Penn State’s Olu Fashanu, Alabama’s JC Latham, Oregon State’s Taliese Fuaga, and many other expected high first-round picks, so a strong performance from Mims might solidify his place among the finest prospects at his position.

The No. 10 place with the Jets would be a fascinating opportunity for Bowers, as he would enter an offense lacking an outstanding tight end but boasting one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time in Aaron Rodgers.
