New York Jets Sign Seattle Seahawks QB While Aaron Rodgers Is Out

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, just got back to practice, but Brett Rypien of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad will be joining the team.

The New York Jets have signed quarterback Brett Rypien of the Seattle Seahawks off the practice squad, according to reports from NFL insider Josina Anderson on Tuesday.Tim Boyle, who started as quarterback for the Jets in their 13-8 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, is being released by the team.

Aaron Rodgers, the standout quarterback for the Jets, was been placed on return from injured reserve. Though he has resumed practicing, it doesn’t seem like he will miraculously return just soon. In Week 1, against the Buffalo Bills, he sustained what was initially believed to be a season-ending Achilles injury.
