Multiple Reunions Are Expected to Be Considered by the New York Yankees This Offseason

According to reports, the New York Yankees are considering starting pitchers Frankie Montas and Jordan Montgomery.

It has been claimed that the New York Yankees are considering two reunions with starting pitchers this offseason.

According to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman:

When it comes to rotation candidates, the Yankees have been picky, considering just Jordan Montgomery and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

But the Yankees have Frankie Montas on their radar.

The 30-year-old Montgomery, who finished 10-11 with a 3.20 ERA, is coming off a fantastic year in general. He began the season with the last-place St. Louis Cardinals before being moved to the eventual World Champion Texas Rangers, despite the low number of victories.

His 188.2 innings pitched in 32 starts is definitely attractive to the Yankees, who are prone to injuries.

Montgomery was moved to St. Louis after pitching for the Yankees from 2017 to 2022. He is 38-34 with a 3.68 ERA in his career. With 140 career starts under his belt, he is expected to command over $100 million in the market.
