Mountain Ridge High defensive lineman commits to BYU football

BYU football commitments continue to stream in.

An in-state defensive lineman is the latest to verbally commit to the Cougars.

Kendal Wall of Mountain Ridge High School revealed late Monday night that he has committed to BYU.

Wall wrote on X, “When Dreams Become Reality…” “Home sweet home.”

Mountain Ridge’s 6-foot-5, 215-pound Wall plays defensive end. However, he is expected to play defensive tackle at BYU.

Sione Po’uha, BYU defensive tackle coach, recruited Wall throughout the recruiting process and extended a scholarship offer to him early this month.

Many hopefuls paid an official visit to campus.

Wall chose BYU over reported offers from San Jose State and Washington State.

Wall had 41 tackles and one sack for Mountain Ridge last season, as the team finished 7-3. 247Sports ranks him as the 14th-best prospect in Utah for the class of 2025.

With Wall’s commitment, BYU now has 13 commitments for the 2025 class.

Wall is the class’s sixth commitment since last Friday. Six players have committed in the last few days: LaMason Waller (WR), Tucker Kelleher (TE), Ulavai Fetuli (EDGE), Jackson Doman (TE), Cole Cogshell (EDGE), and Wall.
