Morsy, Burns, and Broadhead are among the seven replacements for Blues at Stoke

Town have made seven changes for today’s encounter against Stoke City.

Captain Sam Morsy returns from suspension, as do Harry Clarke, George Edmundson, Kayden Jackson, Wes Burns, Nathan Broadhead, and Axel Tuanzebe.

Cameron Burgess, who has joined Australia’s squad ahead of the Asian Cup, is absent, as are Freddie Ladapo, Dom Ball, Brandon Williams, Omari Hutchinson, Marcus Harness, and Cameron Humphreys, who are on the bench.

While Broadhead and Burns have recovered from their illnesses, Leif Davis is still out with a calf injury. Elkan Baggott is missing from the 20-man squad after joining up with Indonesia on Friday.

Vaclav Hladky will start in goal, with Luke Woolfenden at right-back and ex-Stoke loanee Harry Clarke on the left, with Axel Tuanzebe and George Edmundson in the middle.

Morsy will be teamed in midfield by Massimo Luongo, with Burns, Conor Chaplin, and Broadhead supporting striker Jackson.

Stoke make two changes from the lineup that drew 1-1 with Watford on Friday, with midfielder Lewis Baker replacing Ben Pearson for the first time since April.

Right-back Ki-Jana Hoever also replaces winger Sead Haksabanovic, while Lynden Gooch, Enda Stevens, Josh Laurent, Tyrese Campbell and Mehdi Leris are all unavailable due to injury.
