MLB Insider Suggests Trade of Star to Yankees in Blockbuster Deal

One of the main narratives of the early baseball offseason has been the standout outfielder Juan Soto of the San Diego Padres.

He is about to reach the last year of his contract, and the team has reportedly been considering trading him this winter.

The Yankees were one of the trade deals put together for Soto by Bleacher Report’s MLB reporter Kerry Miller. The top landing place for the elite outfielder was ranked as New York. Here was the package:

Along with a quality starter in Cortes, San Diego would also receive a few solid prospects back in the trade. The Padres may want to consider the fact that Cortes is still under team control for the next two years.

The Padres might add the prospects to their farm system in the hopes that another superstar becomes available, or they could utilize them to sign another Major League player. After a Soto move, they would have an abundance of options at their disposal.

Regarding a possible Soto deal, the New York Yankees have been one of the teams that has generated the most chatter. Usually, when there is this much talk, there is fire. A left-handed power hitter is needed in New York, and the Bronx could use another star.

They would have one of the top players in the game with Soto in their lineup. If the Yankees were to sign Soto, they would have an intimidating roster once more, especially with Aaron Judge.
