Mike Sainristil’s NFL Draft Analysis

What a year for Michigan’s Wolverines! Winning a national championship, excellent coaching promotions, and potential NFL draft picks. The team was led by one of the strongest defensive units in college football history.

The Wolverines’ defense ranked first or third in every major statistical category. By the way, they played two more games than the rest of the country! What a dominating performance. Captain Mike Sainristil was one of the Wolverines’ leading players.

Mike Sainristil Scouting Report | NFL Draft 2024

Sainristil was a three-star cornerback recruit from Everett, Massachusetts, who was committed to the Michigan Wolverines. However, he switched to wide receiver during his first three years at Michigan. It wasn’t working out as Sainristil and the coaches had hoped, so he moved back to the corner.

He immediately rose to the status of full-time starter and captain for the Wolverines. In 2023, Sainristil returned for his first season and delivered a masterpiece.

They started all fifteen games with 44 tackles and six interceptions! He achieved All-American status and became a champion. However, will his late-career heroics propel him into the first round? Let’s get into the film!

Mike Sainristil’s Player Evaluation

Mike Sainristil is a starter nickel corner and third safety in the NFL. He possesses exceptional agility and fluidity in his transitions and hips.

He possesses an excellent backpedal and breaks on the ball with ease. Mike has great hands and enjoys getting his hands on turnovers. However, because of his small stature and lack of exceptional speed, he will be drafted as a specialist. My NFL counterpart was Mike Hilton.

Hilton has built a successful career as a versatile third safety nickel corner type guy. Expect Sainristil to do the same, making an NFL franchise very pleased.
