Midfielder at Ipswich Town Receives “Little Reward” for Strong Start

Ipswich Town supporters will be paying close attention to tonight’s England game at Wembley Stadium.

Massimo Luongo, a midfielder, has been called up to the Australian team for the first time since that year. He refers to it as “a little reward” for all of the work he put into the Championship team.

The Socceroos play a showcase friendly tonight at the home of football, followed by a matchup with New Zealand’s neighbors at Brentford the following week.

Graham Arnold, the team’s manager, has called up Luongo for the two games after he impressed in the season’s early going.

The midfield ace has recaptured the form that made him sought after after a lackluster period at both Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday, which in turn has shown in his return for his country.

The Australian has had time to ponder but is also looking forward to the challenges ahead thanks to manager Kieran McKenna’s assistance this season.

Luongo said, “I had a pretty tragic run of injuries which kept me out for a little while,” in an interview with the East Anglian Daily Times prior to the big game at Wembley. Getting everything in order off the field, such as mentally, working hard, and being happy, was all that was really important.

“Before you knew it, I had reached the age of 30! already 31. I consider it because I had a lot going on that I needed to get right at the time.

I believe that was the top priority. Then, I believe that being called up is a small reward for all of my hard work in getting back to where I needed to be.

Cameron Burgess, who represents Ipswich in the Australian squad, also helped Luongo adjust more swiftly after his absence from the national squad environment.

It’s fun, I must say. Seeing everyone is pleasant. Participants have evolved. It’s a pleasant setting to return to since when Australians meet, it seems like they’ve known each other for a while.

Massimo Luongo is completely deserving of his recall and could be excused for believing that, at the age of 31, he had seen it all in terms of further international appearances. It speaks volumes about him that he put in the effort and played under a system at Ipswich Town that suited his playing style. His constant performance, which has allowed him to participate in every league game thus far, is one of the factors that his team is vying for automatic promotion. There is no reason he cannot assist his nation in another important competition, but first…England.
