The Wolverines have been quiet on the recruiting trail as the 2024 season approaches, but a key target is expected to reveal his commitment later this month.

Michigan football found recruiting success in June and early July, but momentum has stalled as the 2024 season near.

As the Wolverines prepare for the upcoming season at fall camp, the program’s recruiting staff prepares for the next wave of commitments, which are expected this autumn. One of Michigan’s top remaining targets is four-star Fulshear (Texas) Katy Jordan wide receiver Andrew Marsh, who recently committed on August 28.

The Wolverines have two crystal ball predictions to land Marsh on 247Sports, while On3’s prediction system gives U-M an 89.2% chance of securing the excellent pass-catcher from the Lone Star State. Marsh has down his options to five colleges, with Michigan competing with Texas, USC, Oklahoma, and Washington for his pledge.

Marsh, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 175 pounds, is ranked as the No. 58 overall talent, No. 8 wide receiver, and No. 13 player from Texas in the 2025 class by 247 Sports Composite. He currently has 34 scholarship offers from FBS colleges, with nearly every major program putting their hat into the ring at some point during his recruitment.

Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy has done an amazing job in the battle for Marsh, and the Wolverines may be on the verge of signing their sixth Top 100 prospect of the 2025 recruiting cycle. Bellamy already has two wide outs committed in the class, with four-star Marrero (La.) Archbishop Shaw standout Jacob Washington and three-star Destrehan (La.) wideout Phillip Wright both verbally committing to the Wolverines.

As the month of August begins, Michigan has the No. 13 national class in the 2025 cycle, as well as the No. 3 Big Ten class. The Wolverines’ average player rating of 91.63 is the ninth-best in the nation and the third-best in the league.
