Michigan’s speedy defensive back propels the team into the top five

Michigan now has a full defensive staff, which clearly helps in the recruiting process.

Sherrone Moore, the new head coach, brought in some young, energetic males who have all been hailed as excellent recruiters. Recruits now know what they can expect at Michigan, and it will begin to pay off. Jahmari DeLoatch, a fast cornerback from Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith High School, recently expressed his interest in the Wolverines, ranking them in his top group.

The 5-10, 160-pounder revealed his top five options on social media and is contemplating Michigan, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech.

Michigan clearly stands out from the rest of the bunch. The Wolverines are the best on-field program of the five, having done far more than any other program combined, particularly recently. As a result, a few analysts have projected that DeLoatch will eventually settle in Ann Arbor.

DeLoatch was high on Michigan before all of the staff changes, so it’s encouraging to see the Wolverines remain in the top group with the new personnel in place. The Virginia native would like to travel to Ann Arbor this spring to spend time with the new coaches and is still considered a Michigan lean.
