Michigan assembled a solid recruiting class under Jim Harbaugh in the 2024 cycle, particularly at multiple positions like as running back.

The Wolverines have officially signed a quality duo in Cincinnati (OH). Jordan Marshall, a four-star running back from Archbishop Moeller in 2024, and Las Vegas Micah Kaa’pana, Bishop Gorman’s 2024 three-star running back.

Running backs coach Mike Hart was the key recruiter for each player during the recruiting process, and he played a significant role in their commitment and eventual signing with Michigan.

However, after three seasons of teaching for the Wolverines, the Michigan football team and running backs coach Mike Hart parted company this offseason.

Regardless, Moore swiftly set to work and filled the vacancy by hiring Ohio State’s running backs coach, Tony Alford, to the same role.

Former Top247 prospect and soon-to-be freshman running back Jordan Marshall, who was aggressively pursued by Alford while at Ohio State, shared his thoughts on the new job.

“I’m super excited to be coached by him,” Marshall told The Michigan Insider. “Coach Alford and I share a great bond. We were both sad when I told them I wasn’t going to Ohio State, but, as I previously stated, God has a plan, and that plan was for Coach Alford to be my coach. I’m grateful to Coach Moore for selecting the best potential candidates for the job. Now we each have something to prove. “GO BLUE!”
