Michigan football plans to host four-star 2025 OT

Things are heating up for Michigan football on the recruiting path, and here’s the most recent on four-star offensive tackle Marcus Garcia.

If you haven’t noticed, Michigan football is resuming recruiting efforts.

Sherrone Moore has proven to be an excellent recruiter, as evidenced by his ability to keep current players, with only Keon Sabb leaving during the 30-day transfer window following Jim Harbaugh’s departure.

Recruiting your own roster is an important aspect of college football right now. But Michigan football has created a championship culture, and Moore was a big part of it.

Latest on 4-star OT Marcus Garcia

Michigan’s 2025 recruiting goals include four-star offensive tackle Marcus Garcia from Texas. He stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 265 pounds. He is from Denton, Texas. He is also placed 330th overall in the 247 Sports aggregate rankings.

Garcia is planning a visit to Michigan football in March. He is also visiting Nebraska, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Penn State, and Washington. Garcia has received more than 30 offers and discussed his visit with Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider.

“I’ll be there on March 24th,” Garcia said The Michigan Insider.”Yeah, first time. I’ve been traveling a lot within the state, so I’m excited to discover what’s outside the Texas borders. I’m excited to connect more with (Head) Coach (Sherrone) Moore and (Offensive Line Coach Grant) Newsome. Moore is regarded as one of the industry’s greatest offensive line coaches, and Newsome has spent a decade with the school as both an offensive line player and a coach. When it comes to developing NFL offensive lineman, this tandem is unbeatable.”

With Moore and Newsome, Michigan football should be able to attract some strong offensive line prospects, as they did in the 2024 class and much earlier. Despite graduating six starting-caliber offensive linemen, the Wolverines have a deep pipeline of potential.

The Wolverines will add to their group in the 2025 class, and Garcia is certainly a name to keep an eye on at offensive tackle.
