Metro Detroit realtor is offering 1,000 Lions fans the opportunity to trade in their Stafford shirts.

Businesses in Detroit and the surrounding suburbs are making the most of Matthew Stafford’s return to Ford Field.

One pub in Detroit’s Eastern Market district will not allow anyone wearing a Stafford Lions shirt into their premises on Sunday night. And a Metro Detroit realtor is taking it a step further, offering 1,000 fans the chance to switch Stafford jerseys before the wild-card game.

Glover Agency’s trade-in event will take place on Friday (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) at Twin Peaks restaurant in Livonia.

“Lions fans with Stafford Jerseys at home will have an opportunity to turn in their gently used, freshly washed jerseys in exchange for a Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown or Aidan Hutchinson jersey,” according to a press release from the team.

“I purchased mostly Goff jerseys because we need to get behind the QB that is poised to take us all the way and it just seemed right to trade QB for QB, although the first few hundred fans will get to pick from one of the three.”

In prime-time action from Ford Field, the Lions will face Stafford and the Rams. It’s the division-winning Lions’ first home playoff game in 30 years, as well as the first for Ford Field in its 22-year history.

This playoff game also pairs Jared Goff against his former head coach, Sean McVay, and Lions general manager Brad Holmes against his mentor, Rams general manager Les Snead.

To begin the postseason, the juicy tales appear inexhaustible, with Stafford’s return to the city he bled for for 12 years being the icing on the cake.

“Excited. I’m ecstatic. It’s a fantastic setup, in my opinion. “It’s nice to be able to host a playoff game here against those guys,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell stated at the start of the week. “This is a team with a number of players who have played in the Super Bowl over there.” They’ve done it. This head coach has done an exceptional job with them. They’re also a hot team. I think it’s fine.

“It’s also, look, it’s a new team.” We haven’t seen this person in three years. That appeals to me. I just like the novelty of it. Man, here is when it gets really fun. It’s been enjoyable, but this is when it truly gets fun. This is the reason you do it. This is the reason you coach. This is why you enjoy playing. It’s for these exact moments.”
