Marcell Ozuna joined elite company yesterday

The Braves offense has struggled for much of the first two months of the season.

There are occasional hints of it coming together, but Marcell Ozuna has been the one constant.

The Braves designated hitter has been one of the top offensive performers in baseball. He leads the National League in home runs and leads all of baseball in RBIs, with his total up to 40 after adding two more last night. Ozuna is now the fastest Braves player to reach 40 RBIs since Hank Aaron in 1970.

Ozuna is well on his way to making his first All-Star participation since 2017. He’s been the heart and soul of the Braves’ lineup and clubhouse all season. He leads the National League in home runs and RBIs, yet he is second only to Shohei Ohtani in OPS and sixth in batting average. If Ozuna continues to be as popular, there may be a triple crown watch in the future.
