Liverpool has reached an agreement to sign an £87 million star

Victor Osimhen has been coveted by Liverpool for some time, and according to recent reports, the Nigerian international’s terms of a contract to sign with Napoli have been agreed upon.

The African striker has decided to join the Reds and has not chosen to extend his contract with the Italian champions, according to Valter De Maggio.

The Italian journalist stated to Area Napoli of Televomero:

“The president refers to a meeting that took place in Castel di Sangro. The parties had reached an agreement for the renewal, but then Calenda and Osimhen they went back on their word.”

“What happened? There was the inclusion of another club, from the Premier League. I’m talking about Liverpool . There would be frequent contacts, but I just learned something else: there would be agreements already reached. Let me clarify: the agreements would be between the Reds and the player, therefore they would not involve Napoli.”

Osimhen scored 31 goals for Napoli across all competitions last season, winning the Paolo Rossi award. Nevertheless, his weekly salary of £75,000 is comparatively meager.

The Scudetto winners valued him at approximately £154 million during the summer transfer window after a fantastic season, but the price has since dropped.

Club president Aurelio de Laurentiis is hoping to receive a fee of approximately £87 million (100 million euros) from the sale of his valuable asset, according to a report that was covered by Calcio Mercato yesterday.

The 24-year-old is one of the top goal scorers in the league right now, having scored 20 goals in 27 games for Nigeria.

Please weigh in on whether Liverpool should finally offer £87 million to sign Victor Osimhen.
