Lions’ Jared Goff sends ‘proud’ message to Detroit following playoff defeat

The Detroit Lions’ season ended in devastating manner last weekend in the NFC Championship game.

The Lions led 24-7 at halftime against the #1 seeded San Francisco 49ers. However, they lost 34-31 in the second half. Despite a difficult ending, Detroit’s football season was one of the best in recent memory.

Jared Goff, the quarterback, is a major reason for Detroit’s success. Goff was dealt to the Lions for Matthew Stafford a few years back, and he helped the team achieve its best season in over 30 years. The old Lions are gone, and Goff sent a message to Detroit fans, telling them that the best is yet to come.

“Proud to be a part of this special group of guys this year,” Jared Goff wrote on Instagram. “We are grateful to the world’s best fans for their unwavering support and affection throughout the season. “The best has yet to come.”

The Lions’ future looks exceedingly bright. They have a lot of young players, their head coach and general manager are two of the best in the NFL, and both offensive and defensive coordinators will return next season. Everyone expected their offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, to take over as head coach because he is one of the league’s greatest coordinators. However, he declined the offers because he wants to win the Super Bowl in Detroit.

The Lions will face high expectations next season, and they will have the resources to succeed. It did not happen this year, but one organization is determined to bring a Super Bowl to the Motor City.
