Lions fan engages into an argument with 49ers supporters at NFC Championship Game

NFC Championship: The actual Slim Shady comes up in Santa Clara and makes an obscene hand gesture against 49ers fans.

On Sunday afternoon, Marshall Mathers III, also known as Eminem, made an offensive gesture against 49ers fans at Levi’s Stadium.

The 15-time Grammy-winning rapper has been a strong fan of his hometown Detroit Lions during their three-game playoff run, which comes after 30 years of no playoff wins.

It’s unclear what prompted the confrontation, but the 51-year-old “Lose Yourself” rapper has a history of causing waves in public. His Wikipedia page contains subsections covering ten distinct feuds and four disputes. Perhaps the most visible were feuds with musical artist Moby and the uproar over his anti-gay songs. (He now publicly supports gay rights.)

In another video, the rapper was seen celebrating another score during the game.

Before the Lions’ wild-card round game against the Los Angeles Rams, Eminem made a social media video pleading with former Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford to allow the host Lions win.

Slim Shady’s beloved team is playing in its first conference championship since 1991, when he was 18, and the Grammy-winning singer was among the numerous Lions supporters who traveled from Michigan to the Bay Area.
