Leicester City’s “dream” is reportedly to sign an EPL star in January

In order to boost their roster, Championship team Leicester City may finally give their interest in Manchester United winger Amad Diallo some serious consideration in January.

Due to an injury sustained in a preseason game against Arsenal, Amad has not played a minute this season.

The injury put a stop to the Ivorian’s growth, since he was featured heavily during the tour and appeared to be a key player in Erik ten Hag’s plans for the 2023–2024 campaign.

Amad’s progress was recently updated by United, who also mentioned that he is back training on grass, indicating that a return to competitive action is not too far off.

This season, the Red Devils have had difficulty scoring goals; the strikers Ten Hag currently has access to are not producing.

Specifically, Antony has not impressed thus far this term and already seems like a financial waste. The Brazilian was substituted off against Fulham, to the booing of fans who were obviously unhappy with his performance.

In place of him, Facundo Pellistri made significantly more of an impact and even helped set up Bruno Fernandes’ game-winning goal.

Ten Hag may find that Amad Diallo is the answer he needs. Regarding the winger’s immediate future, a choice needs to be made when he returns. Specifically, whether to retain him at Old Trafford or send him out on loan.

Because of his heroics with Sunderland the previous season, Amad will probably have plenty of suitors eager to hire him.

Football League World claims that Leicester might be the United star’s next stop. It is known that the Foxes have long held admiration for the player and would welcome his presence as they pursue promotion to the Premier League.

If Enzo Maresca’s team decides to pursue the brilliant forward, Amad’s arrival at King Power Stadium would supposedly be a part of a “dream” January transfer window.

Football League World states that it is improbable that Leicester would reject Amad and might seize the chance to sign the 21-year-old for the duration of the season.
