Latest update on Ozzie Albies Injury

Despite losing three All-Stars, the Braves continue to win.

Last night, Atlanta defeated the Texas Rangers to win the series, with Charlie Morton on the mound. Chris Sale had another strong game on Friday, and the Braves’ offense was led by Travis d’Arnaud’s three home runs.

The club continues to defy expectations. Despite losing three of the sport’s finest players at their respective positions, the Braves appear to be the strongest club in baseball, and reinforcements could be on the way.

Spencer Strider is out for the year, but it was later determined that his injury was not a typical UCL tear, which is a good sign. Sean Murphy is still a ways away from suiting up, but Ozzie Albies could return sooner rather than later.

Atlanta’s fun-loving second baseman is battling with a toe injury, and Grant McAuley reported yesterday that he wasn’t wearing a walking boot, implying that Albies could be back in the lineup in a few weeks.

This is extremely positive news for the Atlanta Braves and Ozzie Albies.

It does not appear to be an injury that will keep him out for long, but the club has demonstrated enough talent to withstand a trio of injuries that would cripple other clubs in the league.

The Braves’ depth will be tested further, but the team and its fans must be confidence in what we’ve seen thus far. Atlanta has a chance to sweep the reigning World Series champs in today’s series finale, even without Spencer Strider, Sean Murphy, and Ozzie Albies.
