Nathan Broadhead’s hamstring injury will sideline him for a few months, according to manager Kieran McKenna.

The attacker’s injury, sustained earlier in the preseason, does not require surgery, but he will be sidelined for some time.

The Town manager also provided an update on Omari Hutchinson, Axel Tuanzebe, Harry Clarke, Ali Al-Hamadi, and Cameron Humphreys, all of whom missed this afternoon’s game against Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Kieran told TownTV: “We hope to have Omari and Axel back with us on Monday and then involved in the games next week, which will be a huge boost for the group.

“Nathan has seen his expert and does not need surgery, which is a relief, but it will be a few months, so he will undoubtedly be a loss.

“Harry and Ali are still healing from their surgeries and are not with the group, and Cameron is still a few weeks away from being ready, so we’re a touch short on bodies.

“The boys training and playing are getting really good exposure but we want to get some bodies back and bodies in so we’re stronger on numbers.”
