Kareem Hunt of the Browns delivers a clear message about his new role

Kareem Hunt was a couch potato at the beginning of the season, but he is now an important part of the Cleveland Browns offense.

Late in free agency, Hunt received a couple offers, but he chose to hold out for the ideal chance. Though it was brought about by some regrettable circumstances, it eventually arrived. One of Hunt’s closest friends, Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb, was lost by the Browns to a season-ending injury in Week 2.

Hunt’s phone rang shortly after, and he returned to the Browns for a fifth season.

Thinking about it is a little absurd. On Wednesday, October 25, Hunt stated, “Like I said about halfway through September, if you would have asked me, I probably wouldn’t have said I wasn’t coming back or something or I didn’t know or think about that.” However, it did occur, and I suppose there was a purpose for it. God has a purpose for this team and for us.

Hunt has been gradually returning to action for the Browns, but throughout the past two weeks, he has been carried in double digits. During that time, he has scored three touchdowns, including a crucial fourth-down carry against the Indianapolis Colts last week on the goal line.

With Jerome Ford out due to an ankle injury for the next three weeks, Hunt will play a bigger role. He’s prepared to take on the task.

Hunt remarked, “I’m up for any challenge, man.” And that describes both my personality and my style as a player.

Browns Dealing With Uncertainty at QB

Deshaun Watson won’t be available for the Browns on Sunday, which will put more burden on the run game. Starting at quarterback, PJ Walker will rely on Hunt and his backfield mates to provide stability in the face of a resilient Seattle Seahawks defense.

Hunt stated, “We’ve just been fighting for each other and playing together as a team.” “The defense has been playing a tremendous job holding its share, so we just need to come in and keep scoring and playing as a team. That is its function.”

How long Watson will be out is unknown. He was allowed to play against the Colts last week, but he was hit severely and left the game in the first quarter.

“He was making good progress and had the opportunity to practice last week,” Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski stated on Wednesday, October 26. “I didn’t like how the hit smacked me square in the shoulder. I just didn’t think that would put him in the ideal position to practice this week after coming out of it swollen.”

Browns Sign Pair of RBs Ahead of Matchup With Seahawks

Pierre Strong Jr. will assist Hunt in the backfield. Last week, Strong contributed eight carries for 25 yards.

With Nick Chubb and Ford out, the Browns are testing their depth, which is why they added Nate McCrary and Jordan Wilkins to the practice squad. On game day, it’s likely that at least one of the new additions will be added to the active roster.

Hunt has a thigh injury that he is currently managing. Even though he didn’t practice on Wednesday, he feels better.

Hunt remarked, “Definitely taking it day by day and getting ready for this run.”

The Seahawks are a 3.5-point home favorite against the Browns.
