Kansas City Chiefs TE gets popular for a statement about George Kittle

Two of the NFL’s best tight ends will face battle in Super Bowl LVIII in two weeks.

Travis Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs player, expressed admiration for his teammate George Kittle despite his desire to defeat the 49ers.

Kelce was asked about Kittle by reporters on Friday. The Chiefs icon went viral for his gracious response when asked about the Niners tight end.

“That’s my guy right there,” Kelce declared. “You are the King of Tight End U, man. He’s the league’s finest tight end, and he deserves it this year. He’s been playing lights out, the finest football of his career, and catapulting that San Francisco squad into the playoffs, dude. And I couldn’t be more proud of him, or more delighted to face George in another Super Bowl.

Kelce went on to explain that he had nothing but positive things to say about Kittle, both as a person and as a football player.

Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers have been dominating the tight end position lately.

Kelce and Kittle have dominated the tight end position for nearly a decade. In six of the previous eight seasons, either one has earned first-team All-Pro accolades. They have also been nominated for 14 Pro Bowls together.

Kelce has two Super Bowl rings, which distinguishes him from Kittle. Kelce won his first Super Bowl against the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, a 31-20 victory for the Chiefs. Kelce had 43 receiving yards and a touchdown, slightly beating Kittle’s 36 receiving yards.

Could George Kittle Catch Travis Kelce In the All-Time Tight End Debate?

Kelce was 30 years old when the Chiefs defeated the 49ers four years ago, which is also the age of Kittle currently. Their 2024 rematch will most likely contribute significantly to either tight end’s legacy.

Kelce, who is already regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time, would enter a new realm with a third Super Bowl victory. However, if the 49ers tight end wins his first, he will be on a similar trajectory as Kelce, who is four years Kittle’s senior.

The Associated Press picked Kittle this season’s first-team All-Pro tight end after he had 65 receptions for 1,020 yards and six touchdowns. Kelce followed closely behind with 984 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
