Discussed retirement with his brother, Jason.

Travis Kelce has no plans to leave the Kansas City Chiefs anytime soon, despite the fact that he will ultimately have to retire. Assuming he stays healthy, Kelce is anticipated to remain one of the NFL’s top playmakers this season, continuing to be an important player for the Kansas City Chiefs.

On the most recent “New Heights” podcast episode, Jason Kelce reflected on how his life has changed after retiring from the NFL.

“I’m still getting used to it,” Jason said.

“It feels weird not going into the building and just the little conversations you have. You’ll realize it, Trav, once it’s gone.”

Travis’ claim

This interaction prompted Travis to joke that he will never retire from football, citing his older brother’s passionate retirement speech.

“I’m never doing it,” Travis said.

“Not after that speech, man. No, [expletive] that. “I do not want to go through that.”

Kelce’s sentiment is understood, as breaking away from something so important to one’s identity is quite difficult.

Kelce, 34, continues to demonstrate his abilities on the field. His performance in the previous postseason confirmed his standing as the top tight end in the game, with 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns in four playoff games.
