Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbahce, is eager to buy a highly regarded Nottingham Forest player this summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest were punished points last season for violating Financial Fair Play standards, so they’re being much more cautious this summer in their transfer dealings.

Like all Premier League clubs, they’ll have to trade and raise revenue through player sales to make room for new arrivals, of which they’ve made six so far.

Having said that, one of Nuno Espirito Santo’s key players is being linked with a move to Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce want Nottingham Forest midfielder Nicolas Dominguez

Galatasaray, the Turkish club, bid £11 million for Nottingham Forest midfielder Nicolas Dominguez earlier in the transfer window.

The East Midlanders clearly turned him down, but interest in the 26-year-old has resurfaced.

This time, Fenerbahce is targeting Dominguez, with former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho leading the push.

That is according to Sabah, who say he is on the transfer shortlist alongside Scott McTominay, Sander Berg, and Sofyan Amrabat.

The Super Lig club has also expressed an interest in his teammate Ibrahim Sangare.

Nottingham Forest can’t lose Nicolas Dominguez

Forest should not entertain any offers for Dominguez this summer, given his strong pre-season performances.

The Argentinian midfielder, described as a’standout’ player by The Athletic, has established himself as an important part of Nuno’s plans and should improve this season as he approaches his prime years.
