JJ McCarthy receives high praise from NFL talent evaluators following a solid…

JJ McCarthy, Michigan football quarterback, wrapped out his great career with the Wolverines a few months ago by winning the national title.

He only lost one game as a starter at Michigan and is now headed for the NFL. He is currently in the NFL Combine, and his stock is rising by the day.

JJ McCarthy did go through throwing drills at the NFL Combine and did quite well. Michigan football’s attack was not particularly pass-heavy, so it was probably a smart choice for him to participate. When he needed to pass for the Wolverines, he performed admirably, and he is more than capable of making NFL throws. He is receiving a lot of accolades following his performance on Saturday.

“He went out there, competed, and threw the ball very, very well,” NFL Network’s Peter Shrager said of McCarthy. “I got a text from a very respected NFL evaluator saying, ‘Of all these guys, McCarthy translates to the NFL the most.'” He had a great day out here.”

During the college football regular season McCarthy was projected as a later first-round pick, but some believe he might be the third or fourth quarterback selected in the draft. McCarthy was a winner at Michigan, and that was ultimately all that mattered to him.

McCarthy finished the year 240-332 for 2,991 yards, 22 touchdowns, and four interceptions as the Wolverines won the national championship. His QBR was 88.2, the third best in college football. He had a fantastic year at Michigan and is now ready for the NFL.

The NFL Draft is less than two months away, and it will be intriguing to watch where Michigan’s star ends up. There are many talented quarterbacks in this draft class, and they have a wide variety of options for where to go. We’ll have to wait and see whatever NFL team signs McCarthy.
