Jim Harbaugh awkwardly listened to Nick Saban respond to a question about Michigan

Talk about an awkward situation.

During a joint coaches press conference before Alabama’s College Football Playoff game against Michigan, Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban was asked about the Wolverines’ sign-stealing controversy, which garnered widespread attention and resulted in the suspension of coach Jim Harbaugh. A reporter directly asked Saban about his feelings concerning Michigan’s sign-stealing.

With Harbaugh sitting next to him, visibly fidgeting in his seat, Saban spoke about the “integrity of the game.” It was a very unpleasant moment, which AL.com reporter Michael Casagrande recounted on X, formerly Twitter.

Harbaugh can be seen fidgeting around in his seat and licking his lips nervously as Saban speaks about college football “hopefully” implementing an NFL system where communication is mostly through headsets.

With this query, the reporter shined the biggest spotlight possible on the elephant in the room, providing college football fans with an unpleasant scene straight out of The Office.

Fans couldn’t help but notice that Saban and Harbaugh didn’t exchange pleasantries or a handshake before the Rose Bowl game.

The postgame handshake between Harbaugh and Saban will undoubtedly garner a lot of attention. After one quarter of play, Michigan and Alabama are tied 7-7 in the Rose Bowl.
