Jared Goff has surprising reaction to NFC North title

“Have got a lot to do still and it’ll be fun.”

The Detroit Lions won their first NFC North divisional title since 1993 last weekend. While the team is clearly delighted to have won the division for the first time in 30 years, it is apparent that there is still much more they want to accomplish.

During a press conference this week, Lions quarterback Jared Goff stated that while the club is thrilled to be bringing the division title back to the city for the first time in three decades, they have bigger goals to achieve.

“It’s been a lot of fun. “It’s been great,” Goff told Pro Football Talk. “You try to take it all in and enjoy it. Win or lose, try to treat it that way, and yeah, it’s been exciting. I believe the city is ecstatic. We’re ecstatic.

I know the fans are pleased about the prospect of a home playoff game, but as I previously stated, we have so much more in front of us that we want to do, and we’re very, very happy with winning the division, but we’re far from satisfied or content. I still have a lot to accomplish, but it will be enjoyable.

We’ll have to wait and see if the Lions can do more than just make the playoffs this season.
