Jaire Alexander is mistaken for a fan and hilariously crashes a local news report

Against all odds, the Green Bay Packers will be in the NFL Playoffs in 2023.

Green Bay finished 9-8 and sixth in the NFC after a turbulent season that featured growing pains in every aspect of the game. The defense, in particular, had its finest games of the season in these recent victories.

On November 5, they only allowed three points to the Los Angeles Rams, however Brett Rypien began at quarterback for LA. However, the Packers have only allowed one score in the last two weeks, and it came on a seven-yard drive by the Vikings after Samori Toure fumbled a punt in Week 17. Green Bay won that game 33-10, which means the defense would have only allowed three points if not for the fumble.

The Packers only allowed three field goals in their Week 18 victory over Chicago. The defense has been outstanding since their thrilling 33-30 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Of course, the last two games have occurred in the aftermath of a controversy involving standout cornerback Jaire Alexander.

Alexander was suspended for the game against Minnesota after proclaiming himself captain and nearly losing the coin toss against Carolina. There were also some difficult, but necessary, discussions between the coaching staff and the defense. These discussions appear to have paid off, as Alexander appears to be back to his former self.

Jaire Alexander Had His Best Game of the Season for the Green Bay Packers in Week 18

Aside from his one-game ban, Alexander has been out for the majority of the 2023 NFL season due to back and shoulder problems. Despite this, he was selected one of five Packers Pro Bowl alternates last week.

Despite being chosen an alternate, everyone who has watched the Packers this season can see that Alexander is having a bad year. He has zero interceptions this season after a career-high five in 2022. This year, he has five passes defended, the fewest since 2021, when he missed much of the season due to a shoulder injury.

Week 18 was an exception. Alexander took on the Packers’ defense’s communication concerns and was engaged before the snap, screaming out moves and readings to the rest of the squad. Alexander also allowed just one reception on three targets and was the game’s fourth-highest graded Packers defender (74.9) according to PFF.

Jaire Alexander Crashes a News Report on Monday

Following his return from suspension, Alexander stated that his media interviews would be more serious in the future. That didn’t stop him from having a good time with a local Green Bay news team on Monday morning:

Alexander says to the camera in the video, “The Pack is back!” before executing his characteristic seatbelt celebration. “Well, you heard from a fan right here,” the reporter continues. “The Pack has returned.”

To the consternation of fans on social media, the reporter did not recognize Alexander.

In any event, Alexander appears to be in good health, is doing well, and has found a happy medium between his unique nature and his professional demands.
