Jaguars Sideline Top WR v. Browns, but not Trevor Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who are set to take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, have released Walker Little, Christian Kirk, and Trevor Lawrence’s injury updates following their games against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars appeared to have possibly sustained a catastrophic injury after left lineman Walker Little stepped on his right ankle during the team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Jaguars have stated that the top quarterback had a high-ankle sprain following an MRI, but they have not ruled him out. However, due to a core muscle injury he sustained early in the game, their star wide receiver, Christian Kirk, is out.When the Jaguars focus on the Cleveland Browns, Walker Little, who was hurt on the same play as Lawrence, is also a concern.

Lawrence’s injury was described by Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson as “just a right high-ankle sprain” at his press conference on Tuesday. Testing indicates that the remainder of his ankle is stable. Although Pederson hasn’t ruled Lawrence out of the game against the Browns, he hasn’t given the injury a timeframe either, stating that they’ll see how it looks in a few days.

For the Jaguars, C.J. Beathard completed the game at quarterback. In the event that Lawrence is sidelined, the Jaguars will likely turn to Beathard, who will cover Lawrence’s practice reps while the team deliberates. Lawrence won’t be able to move as freely even if he can play.
